This year, the Fondation L'Oréal rewards, through the 15th edition of the regional Sub-Saharan Africa L'Oréal-UNESCO L'Oréal For Women in Science Young Talent program, 25 doctoral and 5 post-doctoral students selected by a jury of eminent African scientific experts.
Beyond this financial support (10,000 Euros for doctoral students and 15,000 Euros for post-doctoral students), we also offer them a leadership training program, which complements their academic career and allows them to be better armed to lead their career and break the glass ceiling more easily. At the end of this training, an Award Ceremony will be held in an African capital (date and place to be defined) in the presence of an audience from all over the African continent: representatives of public authorities, UNESCO, scientists, women influencers, academics, intellectuals, opinion leaders and organizations promoting gender equality.
The world needs Science, and Science needs Women.
