The Loreal-UNESCO For Women in Science was first awarded in 2006 to recognize and promote the works and contributions of women scientists in Malaysia. The L’Oréal Fondation celebrates the achievements of distinguished women scientists in Malaysia by awarding them its prestigious L’Oréal-UNESCO Fellowship for Women in Science (FWIS). Since its inception, over RM1,500,000 in grant has been awarded to more than 51 women scientists in recognition of their achievement in science.
